This feature helps you with your payment for the products that you received from your vendors. By adding the billing information to your receiving vouchers, QuickBooks Point of Sale will automatically create an open bill under that vendor in QuickBooks Accounting. So you can keep track of which vendors you’ve paid. This is how we’re going to do it:

  1. First we have to turn the option on by going to “File” menu → then “Preferences” → click on “Company”.
  1. Under “Receiving” section, check on the “Enter vendor billing information in Point of Sale”. Then click “Ok” or “ “Save”.
  1. Once you have the option turned on. Head to “Receiving Vouchers” or “Purchase Orders” on the home screen of QuickBooks Point of Sale.
  1. Click on the “Billing Info” button on the left side of the screen of either Purchase Orders or Receiving Vouchers. Enter the Invoice No. and the other information needed. It is not necessary to put the invoice number, any reference number will do.
  1. For items that were received without any billing information, you can still add billing information so you can view them as an open bill in QuickBooks Accounting. By going to the “Receiving History” on the home screen of QuickBooks Point of Sale.
  1. Select the item that you want to update. Then click on the “I Want to” button then select “Enter Billing Info”.
  1. Once you have updated the item, it will reflect on the Receiving History list.
