QuickBooks POS: Troubleshooting Multi-store exchange
Today we will show you some troubleshooting when it comes to multi-store exchange. Let’s begin:
- This is the remote store you can see that there are many negative values in store 4.
- Let’s go to the headquarters store then go to “Item List”. You can see here that the store 4 has no negative values.
- Let’s start the troubleshooting. Go back to the remote store window. Go to “File Explorer” click “Windows (C:)”, then click “ProgramData”.
- Click “Intuit” folder.
- Click the version of your QuickBooks. In this case, we choose “QuickBooks Point of Sale 18.0” folder.
- Then click “StEx” folder.
- Open each folder under “StEx”, then “Delete” all the files.
- Delete all the Mail bags on each of the folder. Here’s the sample mail bags.
- After you delete all the mail bags, go back to the “Headquarters store” window, go to “Stores” in menu bar then click “Send Files”.
- Unchecked all the other stores except “Store 4” because this is the only store we are interacting, then click “Send”.
- When the headquarters store is done sending go back to the “Remote store” window. Then go to “Store” menu, then click “Receive Files”.
- After receiving click “Process In”.
- So, on the long run, from the Headquarters send files to the Remote store, from the remote store receive the files then send files to the headquarter store receive the files. Do this process three times.
- After installing the files, you can now check out store 4 there’s no longer negative values on it.
- The master list which is located at the headquarters store is all zero which is ok at least it doesn’t have any negative values.
