QuickBooks POS: Search for Record, Item or Document

We’re going to cover about searching and finding different documents and items that you may be looking for in QuickBooks Point of Sale.

1. So for the first way we have the main Search Bar at the home screen.

1. The most helpful search bar of them all because this one searches everything in QuickBooks Point of Sale.
2. It can search for items, receipts, customers and vendors.
3. This also searches the help file. If there’s anything you’re wondering how to do you could also search it on the main search bar.
4. We also have a search bar for the Sales History

1. Mainly this search bar searches for receipts
2. For the Item List

1. Mainly for searching Items
2. You can also search mostly any fields or for the stocks of your items.
3. It can search descriptions, item names, ALU (alternate look-up) or part number.
4. Lastly we have the Purchase Order List Search bar it’s a little bit different from the others.

1. Searches mainly Vendors or Purchase order number.
2. So these are where you can search in QuickBooks Point of Sale, but it is recommended to use the Main Search Bar. The other search bars are for convenience purposes and also for a more specific document to be searched for.
