QuickBooks POS: Save Time with Item Styles

Today we will talk about product styles in other facilitations and on how to make item styles. Here’s how:

1. On the Main Screen, select on “Item List” icon.

1. Once the list of items shows up, click on the “Add” button that is on the upper right of the page.

1. Please take note that you cannot add a style from the receiving voucher, so you have to create a new style you have to do it here on the Items List. Enter the Item Name on the screen, the department of the item and a short description of the item.

1. Next you will input the Regular Price of the items, now you will place here the price that you use the most and you can change them later on.

1. Now you can add the Vendor and the Order Cost. For the Order Cost, you will put the most used cost.

1. Take note that anything that you want to spread to every single variation you have to put it in to the first item before you go ahead and do the styles. Now when you’re ready to change the styles, click on the “Styles” button.

1. On the screen, you will see a grid that have the label Sizes and Attributes. Attributes can be colors or anything that you want that differentiates each and every one item. So you may add the different sizes by clicking on the grid and adding the sizes. A dialogue box comes out and click on “Change Size / Attr Label”

1. When you’re done adding the different sizes, you can now also add the Attributes. To add the attributes, simply click on the gird and type in the attribute that you want.

1. Next add the attributes of the items by clicking on the grid and typing the attributes.

1. When you’re done adding the sizes and attributes of the item, you can now add the quantities of items that you have in stock. Once that’s finish, click on “Save”.

1. If there is an item that you would want to change the price for, you may go back to the “Items List”. Highlight the item that you want to make changes to and double click on the price and simply type in the cost of the item.
