QuickBooks POS: Return Without Receipt

Today we are going to talk about when a customer wants to make a return but you cannot find their original receipt. Let’s begin:

1. On your Home screen go to “Make a Sale”.
2. Type in your customer’s name. (For example, John Doe)

1. Find the item he wants to return here. (For example, he wants to return Info Security Shirt)

1. Select “Qty-“2 times.

1. After you select quantity minus 2 times your sales receipt will now be on a red label.

1. You will see that the Cash change is 31.59. You can give to your customer their cash back or you can put the money to store credit depending on the house rules of the store in returning an item.

1. There you have it we have now successfully return an item without receipt.
